Scarlett Johansson is embracing the aging process and celebrating her evolving style choices in a new episode of Vogue’s Life in Looks. The actress, who is 37 years old, shares that she feels more like herself as she gets older, particularly when it comes to red carpet fashion. From her vintage dress and fuzzy sweater combo at the premiere of Manny Lo in 1996 to her glitzy Dolce Gabbana moment at the 44th Kennedy Center Honors in 2021, Johansson reflects on her favorite fashion moments throughout the years. She also mentions that she hopes to continue to get to know herself better as she grows older, which will reflect in her life in looks. Johansson is proud of her present-day style but isn’t ashamed of her past looks either. While she tends to dress boldly for the red carpet, her off-duty style is much more subdued with neutral colors and plain clothing. Recently, Johansson launched her own skincare line called The Outset, which she created to elevate clean, essential skincare and make it accessible to everyone.

In an interview with Vogue, the actress said that she felt like she was playing a character in those campaigns and wanted to evolve from that. Johansson has also spoken candidly about her life as a mom to her 7-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy and son Cosmo, whom she welcomed with husband Colin Jost in August. She shared with Vanity Fair that becoming a mother served as an “outset” or reset for her, allowing her to rediscover herself after her daughter became more independent. Johansson felt that the choices she made personally and professionally should be intentional, enabling her to have control over her life and career.
